All ambulance vehicles operated under the provisions of this chapter shall be inspected to assure compliance with the provisions of this chapter and all other applicable county, state and federal laws. Said inspections shall be made in June and December of each calendar year, one of which may be the initial inspection of ambulance vehicles upon application for or renewal of the license certificate. The board of county commissioners may make such other inspections of ambulance vehicles as in their discretion are deemed advisable. Records of inspections shall be made and kept.
