The board of county commissioners shall meet within five (5) days after said election to canvass the votes cast at such election, and the clerk of the district court shall immediately announce the results. Any initiative measure approved by a majority of the votes cast shall be in full force and effect from the date of such announcement. Any referendum measure for which a majority of the votes were cast in favor of repealing an ordinance shall be effective on the date of such announcement. (Ord. 79-3, 10-10-1979)
