§ 53.08  CONNECTION TO THE CITY WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM.
   (A)   Definitions. For the purpose of this code of ordinances, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
      PERSON. Any natural person, partnership, association, or a public or private corporation.
      PRIVATE WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM. A system owned and operated by a person for collection and delivery of piped water for human consumption into commercial, industrial, or residential buildings or structures.
      PUBLIC WATER AND SUPPLY SYSTEM. The city water supply system.
   (B)   Prohibition against private water supply. No person shall build, establish, expand, or maintain a private water supply system within the city unless there shall be no public water supply system within 100 feet from the point on property of such person which is nearest the public water supply system.
