§ 153.176  GENERAL PROVISIONS, APPLICABILITY.
   (A)   Lands to which this section applies. This section shall apply to all land designated as shoreland area within the zoning jurisdiction of the city. This minimum area includes lands 300 feet landward from the ordinary high water level of all protected watercourses and 1,000 feet landward from the ordinary high water level of all protected water basins as identified on the Protected Waters and Wetlands Map for the county and as listed in §§ 153.030 through 153.033 of this chapter.
Note:
   As per §§ 153.030 through 153.033, Lake Titloe and Mud Lake are both classified as Protect Waters and therefore have a Shoreland Overlay District surrounding the ordinary high water level at a distance of 1,000 feet.
   (B)   Compliance. The use of any shoreland, the size and shape of lots, the building of new or the alteration of existing structures, the installation and maintenance of water supply or waste treatment systems shall be in full compliance with the terms of this chapter and other applicable regulations.
   (C)   Interpretation. In their interpretation and application, the provisions of this chapter shall be held to be minimum requirements and shall be liberally construed in favor of the governing body and shall not be deemed a limitation or repeal of any other powers granted by state statutes.
