The sidewalks shall be constructed three feet in width and four inches in thickness, directly adjacent to the inside of the curbing. An expansions joint shall be placed between the curbing and the sidewalk. Contraction joints shall be made at intervals of four feet, and expansion joints shall be made at intervals of 24 feet, using a preformed expansion joint material. All expansion and contraction joints shall be made to align with those in the curbing. Sidewalks shall be made of Grade A concrete according to state Highway Department specifications with a float finish.
