(A) Establishment of districts. For the purposes of this chapter, the city is hereby divided into districts, as shown on the official zoning map, which, together with all explanatory matter thereof, are hereby adopted by reference and declared to be part of this chapter. Said districts shall be known as:
(1) A-1 Agricultural/Rural Residence District.
(2) R-1 Single Family (Low Density) Residential District.
(3) R-2 Single- and Two- and Multiple-Family Residential District.
(4) B-1 Central Business District.
(5) B-2 Fringe Central Business District.
(6) B-3 Highway Commercial District.
(7) I-1 Light Industrial District.
(8) I-2 Heavy Industrial District.
(9) S-1 Shoreland Overlay District.
(10) PD Planned Unit Development.
(B) Zoning map. The location and boundaries of the districts established by this text are hereby set forth on the zoning map entitled, "Zoning Map of Gaylord." Said map shall be on file with the Zoning Administrator, and hereinafter referred to as the "zoning map." Said map and all the notations, references, and other information shown thereon shall have the same force and effect as if fully set forth herein and thereby made a part of this chapter by reference.
(C) Unauthorized changes. Any unauthorized change of the official zoning map by any person or persons, shall be considered a violation of this chapter.
(D) Vacations. Whenever any street, alley or other public way is vacated by official action of the City Council, the zoning district adjoining each side of such street, alley or public way shall be automatically extended to the center of such vacation and all area included in the vacation shall then, and henceforth, be subject to all appropriate regulations of the extended districts.
