(a) All public moneys received by an employee or officer of the Village shall be deposited with the Treasurer on the next business day following the date of receipt if the total of such moneys received exceeds one thousand dollars ($1,000.00). If the total of such public moneys received does not exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), the moneys shall be remitted to the Treasurer within three (3) business days of receipt, provided said employee or officer in custody of the moneys safeguards said moneys.
(b) Public moneys received by the Treasurer shall be deposited in a properly designated depository within five (5) business days.
