(a) There is hereby established a fund to be designated as the Police Department Petty Cash Fund. Such Fund shall be in the amount of four hundred dollars ($400.00) and shall be located in the Police Department. Such Fund shall be appropriated in and included as part of the annual appropriation of the General Fund and the Mayor's Discretionary Fund. The Police Chief shall have the sole custody and jurisdiction over the fund and he or she shall use the same for the purpose of making change and in the handling of incidental purchases and deposits to be made with, but not exclusively for, the Police Department.

(b) There is hereby established a fund to be designated as the Administrative Department Petty Cash Fund. Such Fund shall be in the amount of five hundred and fifty dollars ($550.00) and shall be for the use of all departments of the Village not listed in subsection (a) hereof. Such Fund shall be appropriated and included as part of the annual appropriation of the funds being used. The Administrative Secretary or any individual named by Council shall have the sole custody of and jurisdiction over the Fund and he or she shall use the same for the purpose of making change and in the handling of incidental purchases and deposits.
