1367.14 EMERGENCIES.
In cases of emergency which, in the opinion of the Building Official, involve immediate danger to human life or health, the Building Official shall, after notice has first been given as required by Ohio R.C. 715.26, promptly cause the dwelling, structure or portions thereof to be made safe or to be removed. For this purpose he or she may at once enter such dwelling or structure or the land on which it stands, or abutting lands or structures, with such assistance at such cost as he or she may deem necessary. He or she may order adjacent dwellings or structures and premises to be vacated and protect the public by ordering the erection of an appropriate fence or such other means as may be necessary, and for this purpose may close a public or private way.
