955.01 USE BY OTHER GOVERNMENTAL ENTITIES.
   (a)   There is hereby established a charge of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per day for the use of the Village Jail facilities for the housing of prisoners by other governmental entities.
 
   (b)   The Village Jail shall be made available to other governmental entities on an emergency or temporary basis only and shall not be used by such other entities on a contract or long-term basis, except as Council may provide.
 
   (c)   The Chief of Police or any administrative personnel of the Police Department assigned by him or her shall keep an accurate record of the use made of the Village Jail facilities by any other governmental entity and shall promptly advise the Treasurer of the amount due therefor.
 
   (d)   The Chief of Police, in his or her discretion and for good cause shown, may waive the foregoing charges pursuant to such rules and regulations as may be approved by the Mayor.
 
   (e)   The Treasurer shall, promptly upon receipt of notice of the use of the Village Jail and the amount to be charged, issue an invoice to the governmental entity using the facilities. The funds received therefrom shall be deposited into the General Fund.
