§ 113.02 OBTAINING LICENSE; FEES.
   (A)   Any person or persons, firm or corporation desiring to conduct or carry on, maintain, or operate any public dance in the city or within one mile from the outer boundary of the same, shall make application to the Mayor for permission therefor, which application shall state the location of the room, place or hall, the name of the person or persons intending to operate the same; if a firm or co-partnership, the name of the persons constituting the same; and if a corporation, the names of the president, secretary, and treasurer thereof; and which application shall further state the length of time which said person or persons, firm or corporation desire to engage in said business; which application so received by the Mayor, shall, if for one month or less, be approved or rejected by him or her; but if for more than one month, shall be with his or her recommendation, thereon, presented to the City Council at its next regular meeting, or as soon thereafter as he or she conveniently can do so.
   (B)   If said application is acted upon favorably by the Mayor in cases where application is for one month or less; or where application is for more than one month, said application is acted upon favorably by a majority vote of the City Council, then the City Auditor shall issue a license to said applicant for the length of time stated in said application upon payment of the license fee hereinafter, provided to be paid by such applicant.
   (C)   The amount required to be paid for a permit or license for the conducting, operating, or maintaining of any public dance hall in the city, or within one mile from the outer boundary of the same, shall be as follows: $3 for one day; $5 for one week; $10 for one month; and $25 for one year.
   (D)   Which sum shall be paid into the city treasury and, upon presentation of a receipt of such sum by the applicant from the City Treasurer, the City Auditor shall issue a license to the applicant for the period of time which said receipt shows to have been paid for.
