(A) No short-term rental shall be located, occupied, or permitted more than one mile off any asphalt or chip sealed public roadway unless the private drive is in equal or greater condition as the public roadway.
(B) Short-term rentals operating in areas with limited winter access shall not accept bookings when access to the short-term rental property is questionable or inaccessible.
(C) Any owner of a short-term rental who violates this section shall be assessed a $1,000 fine if the county is called to retrieve a stuck or stranded guest who was attempting to access a short-term rental on a road that has been temporarily closed, not yet been plowed, or for any other reason is not accessible to standard vehicular traffic.
