§ 30.046 AMENDMENTS OR CORRECTIONS.
Records held by the county may be amended or corrected as needed. Requests for amendments, corrections, or other changes shall be made in writing to the department having custody of the records and setting forth, with specificity, the amendment or correction requested and the reason for the changes. When an amendment or correction of a government record is made, as a general rule, both the original record and the amended or corrected record shall be retained, unless the nature of the record indicates otherwise or as may be provided by policies and procedures adopted under the provisions of this subchapter.
