§ 135.06 CONTRIBUTING TO THE DELINQUENCY OF MINORS: NEGLECT
   (A)   Any person who shall, by any act, or by any word, encourage, contribute toward, cause, or tend to cause any minor child under the age of 17 years to become neglected or delinquent so as to come or tend to come under the jurisdiction of the Juvenile Division of the Probate Court, as defined in Public Act 288 of 1939, § 2 of Chapter 12a, as added by Public Act 54 of 1944 (First Extra Session), being M.C.L.A. 712A.2 et seq., and any amendments thereto, whether or not the child shall in fact be adjudicated a ward of the Probate Court, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.    (B)   It shall be unlawful for the parent of any minor to fail to exercise reasonable parental control which results in the minor committing any criminal act or to allow or encourage any minor to commit any criminal act or become delinquent in accordance with the Probate Code as it pertains to juveniles.
