§ 135.01 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   CRIMINAL ACTS. Those acts which violate the statutes of the State of Michigan or the ordinances of the city, but not including Traffic Violations.
   FAILURE TO EXERCISE REASONABLE PARENTAL CONTROL. Includes but is not limited to the following.
      (1)   Knowingly permit the minor to violate the city's curfew laws.
      (2)   Knowingly permit the minor to keep stolen property.
      (3)   Knowingly permit the minor to associate with known juvenile delinquents.
      (4)   Knowingly permit the minor to be absent without cause from regular school sessions.
      (5)   Knowingly permit the minor to possess unlawful drugs or narcotics.
      (6)   Knowingly permit the minor to be without proper supervision in the absence of the parents.
      (7)   Knowingly permit the minor to maliciously destroy anyone else's real or personal property.
   HABITUAL OFFENDER. One who commits two or more criminal acts within a 12-month period.
   MINOR. Any juvenile under the age of 17 years residing with the parent as defined in this chapter.
   PARENT. Mother, father, legal guardian, and any other person having the care or custody of a minor or any adult with whom a minor may be found residing.
