No person shall conduct a moving picture show, vaudeville, opera house, theater, or other place for the giving of plays, and other theatrical exhibitions where an admission fee is charged, without obtaining a license to be known as a “Theater License.” The requirements of this section shall not be applicable to exhibitions or shows given for charity or for the benefit of schools or benevolent, educational, fraternal, or religious societies.
