§ 90.24 RELEASE OF ANIMALS.
   Any animal impounded by the city is required to be up-to-date on its rabies vaccinations and to have a license issued by the city to its owner. If an animal is impounded to a shelter contracted to the city, but is not up-to-date on its rabies vaccinations, its owner is required to have it vaccinated for rabies and to acquire a license within ten days of its release. If proof of a rabies vaccine and a license is not given within ten days of the animal’s release, its owner is subject to a fine in accordance with § 41.06.
