§ 50.06 WATER EMERGENCY.
   Whenever the amount of water being used is disproportionate to the amount of water available for distribution, when other demands upon the available supply are taken into consideration, the Director may declare that a water emergency exists, and make and publish rules regulating or prohibiting sprinkling and other nonessential uses of water from the city water distribution system. No rules or regulations shall be effective until 24 hours after the publication thereof in a newspaper of general circulation in the city or other public media. Any person violating such rule or regulation shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished as prescribed in § 10.99 of this code.
