§ 36.20 DEFERRED RETIREMENT.
   In the event a member has 25 or more years of credited service, or has attained age 55 years and has ten or more years of credited service, and leaves city service prior to his attainment of his voluntary retirement age for any reason except retirement or death, he shall remain a member only for the purpose of receiving a pension provided for in § 36.19(A) subject to §§ 36.19(A)(3) and 36.19(B). Upon attainment of age 65 years, the member’s pension shall begin as of the first day of the calendar month following the date his application therefor is filed with the Board. If the member withdraws all or part of his accumulated contributions from the pension savings fund, he shall cease to be a member, and he shall forfeit all his rights in and to a deferred pension provided for in this section.
