§ 33.121 ORGANIZATION; MEMBERSHIP.
   (A)   Pursuant to the City Charter, the Home Rule Act (M.C.L.A. Chapter 117), and the Fair Housing Act, the Human Relations Commission is established. (‘83 Code, § 33.080)
   (B)   The Commission shall consist of five members, to be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council. The term of office of the members of the Commission shall be for two years from date of appointment. Members shall serve without compensation and may be removed for cause by the Mayor with the approval of the City Council. Any vacancy shall be filled only for the remainder of the unexpired term.    (C)   The Commission shall elect its own Chairperson and may create and fill such other of its offices as it may determine. The Commission shall hold regular meetings. The Commission shall adopt rules and regulations for the transactions of its business, and shall keep records of its transactions, findings, and determinations; and to the extent consistent with the Fair Housing Act, the records shall be public. The records and reports required by the Commission shall conform as nearly as convenient to corresponding records and reports required by the state commission and by federal law. An annual report shall be filed with the City Council as to the Commission's activities. (‘83 Code, § 33.084)
