(A) The full payment of regular city real and personal property taxes may be paid at the Cherry Hill Branch of the Manufacturer's National Bank, the Garden City Office of the National Bank of Detroit, the Ann Arbor Trail Branch of Comerica, the Ford-Telegraph Branch of Michigan National Bank, the Warren and Middlebelt Branch of the Bank of the Commonwealth, the Garden City Office of Standard Federal Savings and Loan Association, the Garden City Credit Union, and the Westland Office of First Federal of Michigan, and the Middlebelt and Cherry Hill branch of Down River Federal Savings and Loan Association. (B) (1) Upon payment to a bank designated in division (A), the regular original and duplicate tax bill issued by the City Treasurer will be marked “Paid” by the bank with a stamp carrying the name of the City Treasurer, the name of the bank, and the date of payment.
(2) Banks shall receive payments for only the full amount of the taxes as stated in the city tax bill issued by the City Treasurer. In the event payment hereunder is made to any banks other than by a cash payment and the instrument by which payment is made proves to be uncollectible, or credit is otherwise erroneously given, the tax payment shall be canceled by the city and the bank shall be reimbursed and relieved of liability to the city for the amount of the tax payment.
