(A) The Council. Each member of the Council shall receive as compensation an amount equal to $60 per regular meeting attended not to exceed $2,880 in any one fiscal year. Council members shall be compensated for up to four absences per year. Compensation shall be paid monthly. Council members shall also receive $10,000 of group term life insurance during their term of office. (Effective 7-1-85)
(B) The Mayor. The Mayor shall receive compensation in the amount of $4,000 per fiscal year. Compensation shall be paid monthly. The Mayor shall also receive $10,000 of group term life insurance during his or her term of office.

(C) Expenses. The Mayor and Council members shall receive actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties of office. Expenditures in excess of $100 must have prior approval by a majority of the Council. A public report of all expenditures detailing items of expense, stating the purpose of the expense, and, when appropriate, the value received by the city, shall be presented at the next regular Council meeting for approval by a majority of the Council.
