§ 91.15 PURPOSE AND INTENT.
   The purpose of this subchapter is to promote and protect the public health, safety and welfare through the preservation and protection of the environment by recognizing the vital importance of tree and plant growth in the ecological system. It is further the purpose and intent of this subchapter to improve and maintain the appearance and safety and to protect, preserve and promote the aesthetic appeal, character and value of the village, particularly in light of the extent to which substantial wooded areas and mature trees have been historically a significant aspect of the rural and pastoral character that has set the village apart from surrounding settlements and development.
