Appointment of Village Administrator shall be for an initial term of one year with consecutive appointments to be for a term of a minimum of two years and a maximum of five years each, at the discretion of the Mayor and subject to the approval of a majority of Council. An appointment for a two- year term approved under the previous ordinance or for any period less than the maximum term permitted hereunder pursuant to this section may be expanded up to and including the maximum of five years permitted at any time by vote of the majority of Council, with the consent of the Mayor.
