(A) The town will grant paid holiday time off to all full-time employees, excluding full-time probationary employees. Holiday pay will be based on the employee’s normal workday pay. In order to be paid for holidays described above, an employee shall have worked as a full-time employee on his or her scheduled workday immediately preceding the holiday and his or her scheduled workday immediately following the holiday, unless excused for vacation leave or compensatory time. An employee’s termination date shall not be extended to include payment for any additional holiday pay. An employee’s termination date shall be the last day actually worked. Police Department working holidays will be required to schedule a day off the next week. No stacking of holidays and using at one time. Part-time employees are not eligible for holiday pay.
(B) Paid holidays include New Year’s Day, Presidents Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Martin Luther King Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day (two days), and Christmas Day (two days).
