(A) The town will provide a meter for outdoor water usage only. This service will be available during the months of May through September. The meter will be provided upon request of the customer. The meter will be read and subtracted from the sewage portion of the bill. There will be no discount on water usage.
(B) The customer may sign up for a meter at the Town Hall for a maximum of five days at a time.
(C) If a customer wants the meter for an additional period of time, they will have to make arrangements with the town. Due to a limited number of meters, they may have to be added to a waiting list.
(D) The readings will be taken when the meter leaves our office and when it is returned. The discount will be applied to the bill depending on the town’s billing cycle.
(E) There will be no charge for a meter on the five-day basis. If there is a customer that would like a meter for several months, they may purchase a meter from the town at the town’s cost of the meter and fittings. The purchased meter will be read monthly and the discount will be applied to the bill depending on the town’s billing cycle.
(F) If the meter is not returned, the customer will be liable for the cost of a new meter. The town has the authority to revoke a meter at any time.
