§ 33.016 MEMBERSHIP; TERM; VACANCIES; COMPENSATION; EX OFFICIO MEMBERS.
   (A)   The Overall Code Review Commission shall consist of twelve (12) members, each of whom shall either be a resident of the city, own real estate within the city, work for a company whose primary place of business is located within the city or in the case of contractors be licensed or registered with the city. The Commission shall consist of the following:
      (1)   One mechanical engineer or journeyman sheet metal worker;
      (2)   One architect or designer;
      (3)   One journeyman plumber;
      (4)   One journeyman electrician;
      (5)   One practicing carpenter;
      (6)   One home-building contractor;
      (7)   One commercial-building contractor;
      (8)   One plumbing contractor;
      (9)   One heating contractor;
      (10)   One electrical contractor; and
      (11)   Two members of the general public.
   (B)   The Mayor shall appoint, subject to City Council approval, the members of the Commission for terms of three years. Members may serve for more than one term.
   (C)   All vacancies occurring in the Commission shall be filled by appointment for the remainder of the unexpired term in the same manner as the original appointments. All members of the Commission shall serve without compensation.
   (D)   The following employees of the city shall serve as ex officio members: Building Inspector, Electrical Inspector, Plumbing Inspector, Housing Coordinator, and Fire Chief, or his or her designee. These individuals shall have no vote and shall attend only those meetings in which items concerning the code or codes they administer are considered.
