§ 33.001 APPOINTMENTS TO MUNICIPAL BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS; TERMS OF OFFICE.
   (A)   All persons appointed to a board or commission shall continue to serve, unless otherwise removed from office, until that person’s successor has been appointed and qualified.
   (B)   All board and commission members shall attend, at a minimum, 75% of the meetings for that board or commission each calendar year. Each board or commission may excuse an absence of one of its members if the majority of the board or commission votes to excuse the absence. If a member fails to attend 75% of the meetings for any calendar year, that person’s name and attendance record shall be reported to the City Council so that it may consider whether or not the member should be removed from office. A majority vote of the Council shall be required to remove a member of a board or commission from office.
   (C)   A quorum of a board or commission shall consist of a majority of those presently holding office on the board or commission.
