§ 150.082 APPLICATION FOR LICENSE.
Any person desiring to become a licensed electrical contractor shall first make application to the Board. Application for a license shall be made in writing on forms provided by the Board and presented to the Inspector. The application shall be accompanied by satisfactory affidavits that the applicant has had at least six years of practical experience installing and altering electrical equipment, four years of which must be at a level comparable to the journeyman classification; or that the applicant has successfully completed an approved course of instruction in electrical contracting from a college, university or trade school. The Board shall review the application and determine if the applicant is eligible for a license. Any information found to be misrepresented in the application shall be cause for revocation of a license. The Board shall prescribe uniform and reasonable rules defining what constitutes an approved course of instruction in electrical contracting from a college, university or trade school, and approve or disapprove the courses of instruction offered by the college, university or trade school by reference to their compliance or noncompliance with the rules. The rules shall be designed to assure that an approved course of instruction will adequately teach the design, planning, installation, replacement, extension, alteration and repair of electrical equipment.
