§ 32.048 DUTIES OF FIRE CHIEF.
   The Chief of the Fire Department shall have the superintendence and control of the personnel, engines and engine houses with their equipment. It shall be the duty of the Department to protect the citizens of the city and all property located therein, and in the fire protection districts thereof, against fires, to carry out and enforce all ordinances relating to fire protection and prevention, and perform any other duties as may be assigned by the City Manager. The Chief of the Fire Department may make or prescribe rules and regulations for the guidance of the members of the Department as he or she shall see fit, subject to approval of the City Manager.
