§ 51.124 APPROVED BACKFLOW PREVENTION DEVICES.
   (A)   All backflow prevention devices or methods required by these rules and regulations shall be approved by the Research Foundation for Cross-Connection Control of the University of Southern California, American Water Works Association, American Society of Sanitary Engineering or American National Standards Institute or certified by the National Sanitation Foundation to be in compliance with applicable industry specifications and be in compliance with the Illinois State Plumbing Code.
   (B)   Installation of approved devices shall be made in accordance with 35 Ill. Adm. Code 608 and 653, and only as specified by the Research Foundation for Cross-Connection Control of the University of Southern California or applicable industry specifications and in compliance with the most recent edition of the Illinois State Plumbing Code. Maintenance of the devices shall be performed as recommended by the manufacturer. The manufacturer’s maintenance manual shall be available on-site for each type of device being utilized.
