§ 51.033 CORPORATE AND CURB STOPS.
   Whenever a connection is made with a water main, two stops shall be used, one at the main itself, which shall be known as the corporate stop, the other approximately one foot from the property line, which shall be known as the curb stop. All curb stops shall be of the type known as a quarter-turn valve. The curb stop shall be enclosed in a substantial iron box that shall extend up even with the surface, with a cover suitably secured in place.
