The subdivider shall furnish the city at the time the preliminary plat is filed a statement and description of the water supply which will be provided. The water supply system shall be designed in accordance with the requirements of the IEPA and the City Water Division. Water lines shall be designed by a professional engineer in accordance with state Standard Specifications for Water and Sewer Construction. The water system shall be constructed under the direction, control and with the approval of the Superintendent of the Water Division. All water mains shall be installed in street rights-of-way or easements.
