It shall be unlawful for any person to shoot or molest or attempt to shoot or molest any bird or squirrel or to rob or attempt to rob the nest of any bird or squirrel, anywhere within the limits of the city, when such bird or squirrel is not the property of the person so offending. Provided, however, that the language of this section shall not be held to include English sparrows.
