§ 110.18 TRANSFER, DURATION OF LICENSE.
   (A)   Licenses as required herein shall be issued only to the person named on the license, and shall not be transferable or assigned to other parties. No person, firm or corporation shall use or display any license certificate which has been improperly acquired.
   (B)   The City Clerk shall endeavor to notify by publication each annual licensee of the expiration of time of the license held by the licensee at least 21 days prior to such expiration date; provided, however, that a failure to make such notification of the licensee or the licensee's failure to receive it, shall not exclude the licensee from the obligation to obtain a new license or renewal.
   (C)   Except as otherwise provided herein, each license may be renewed upon proper application and payment of the required fee. The requirements and procedures for granting and issuing a license renewal shall be the same as the requirements and procedures for granting a new license.
   (D)   Where licenses run annually, said license shall be made to expire on January 31 of each year. Where licenses are for lesser periods of time, said license shall be issued for the actual number of weeks or days allowed by ordinance and duly applied for.
