§ 36.51 PAYMENT OF SALARIES.
   All salaries and wages of city employees and officers shall be paid by-weekly by checks signed by the Mayor and countersigned by the City Clerk. The total payroll for a given month shall be submitted by the Mayor to the City Council at its first meeting of the following month. Should the end of a pay period fail on a weekend or on a holiday the payroll checks shall be issued on the last regular working day of that pay period.
