§ 36.36 POLITICAL ACTIVITY PROHIBITED.
   (A)   No employee shall seek or accept election, nomination or appointment as an officer of a political club or organization which is taking an active part in a city municipal political campaign except on behalf of his own candidacy; nor shall any employee serve as a member of a committee of such club or organization nor seek signatures to any petition provided by law, nor act as a worker at the polls, nor distribute badges or pamphlets, dodgers or handbills of any kind favoring or opposing any candidate for election or for nomination to a city public office.
   (B)   However, nothing in this section shall be construed to prevent any employee from becoming or continuing to be a member of a political club or organization or from attending a political meeting or from enjoying entire freedom from all interference in casting his vote.
