§ 93.15 RECORDS AND REPORTS.
   (A)   Records. The animal control officer shall keep or cause to be kept:
      (1)   An accurate and detailed record of the licensing, impounding and disposition of all animals coming into his or her custody; and
      (2)   An accurate and detailed record of all bite cases reported to the town, with a complete report of the investigation of each case, with at least the same information as required in division (B) below.
   (B)   Fierce or dangerous dog report; required information. Upon receiving a report concerning a fierce or dangerous dog, the animal control officer or police shall obtain the following information:
      (1)   Name, address and telephone number of complainant;
      (2)   Date, time and location of incident;
      (3)   A specification of the facts and circumstances of the incident;
      (4)   A description of the dog;
      (5)   A statement or report describing how the dog either bit the complainant or acted in a vicious manner; and
      (6)   Other aggravating facts or circumstances, if any, relating to the incident.
   (C)   Investigation following report.
      (1)   After a statement or report has been obtained, the dog situation shall be investigated by the animal control officer. Upon a showing of probable cause, a complaint may be filed in Municipal Court and, if necessary, the dog impounded as a public nuisance.
      (2)   If impoundment of said dog could not be made with safety to the animal control officer, or other persons, the dog may be destroyed without prior notice to the owner or harborer.
