§ 93.02 DOG AND CAT LICENSES REQUIRED.
   (A)   License required; conditions; fee. No person shall own, keep, harbor or have custody of any dog or cat over six months of age without first obtaining a license from the Town Clerk-Treasurer. This is done by providing the Clerk-Treasurer with a description of the dog, including its name, breed and sex, the owner’s or keeper’s name and address and paying the required fee. Said license must be renewed on or before March 31 of each year thereafter.
   (B)   Fee set by Town Board. The license fee for animals shall be as set by the town by motion or resolution and shall expire annually.
   (C)   Exceptions. This section shall not apply to a dog or cat only temporarily brought and kept within the town for a period less than 15 days; nor to a dog brought within the town to participate in a dog show; nor to a guide dog, signal dog or service dog that is actually being used by a blind, physically handicapped, deaf or hard of hearing person to aid that person in going from place to place.
