(A) For the purpose of this chapter, certain terms and words are defined as set forth in this chapter. Words used in the present tense shall include the future; the singular number shall include the plural and the plural the singular, and the word SHALL is mandatory and not directory.
(B) All terms or words defined in § 155.001 shall have the same meaning in this chapter and all such definitions shall be included by reference in this chapter as if fully set forth in this section.
BILLBOARD
. Any signboard or similar structure, the sole or primary purpose of which is the use for displaying of advertisements or notices.
NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION
. A charitable organization, educational organization, fraternal organization or labor organization as defined in § 113.01 regulating raffles.
PORTABLE SIGN
. A single or multi-surface type sign or some variation thereof which is temporary in nature, may or may not be mounted on wheels, easily movable and not permanently attached thereto.
SIGN
. Any advertisement, announcement, direction or communication, provided wholly or in part by the construction, erection, affixing, or placing of a structure on any land, or on any other structure, or produced by painting on, posting, or placing any printed, lettered, pictured, figured or colored material on any building, structure, or surface.
