§ 31.056 MONTHLY REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL.
   The Treasurer shall, at the ending of each and every month and on such other dates and times as requested by the Mayor, render a complete account under oath to the Mayor and City Council, or such officer of the city as may be designated by the Mayor or majority vote of the Council, showing the state of the treasury at the date of the account, the balance of money in the accounts of the city and the amounts received and spent during the month or since the date of the last report. The Treasurer shall also render an accounting of the present balance of expended and unexpended amounts on each line item contained in the annual budget of the city. This accounting of the present balance of line item accounts shall be rendered monthly, on or before the 15th of the following month. Each report shall be timely delivered to the City Clerk and shall be filed with the Treasurer accounts in the city. The Treasurer shall annually, within the time required by law or ordinance, complete and file with the City Clerk a complete and detailed report of all receipts and expenditures of the city, as shown by the records of the city, and in all of the transactions of the Treasurer during the preceding fiscal year; and shall further reflect in such report the state of the treasury at the close of the preceding fiscal year which report shall be published as required by law by the City Clerk. Each report filed by the City Treasurer shall be verified by the Treasurer under oath.
