§ 8-2 DUTIES OF THE ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER.
   It shall be the duty of the Animal Control Officer to apprehend any animal found running at large, contrary to the provisions of this chapter and to impound the animal in the city pound or other suitable place. The Animal Control Officer, upon the taking of the animal, shall make a complete registry, entering the breed, color and sex of the animal and whether licensed. If licensed, the Animal Control Officer shall enter the name and address of the owner and the number of the license tag. If possible, licensed animals shall be separated from any unlicensed animals.
