(A) There is hereby re-created a Board to be known and designated as the Park Board which shall consist of seven members and whose term of the office shall be for three years and who shall be appointed by the Board of Commissioners, except that the first appointed shall be so appointed that the terms of not more than two members will expire in the same year. Any member of the Board may be removed by a majority vote of the members of the Board of Commissioners. Vacancies shall be filled in the same manner as in the original appointments and for the unexpired term of the vacancy. One member shall be chosen to represent the Fulton Independent School District.
(B) The Park Board shall serve at the will of the Board of Commissioners.
(C) The members of the Park Board shall serve without compensation.
(D) The Park Board shall promote the care, management and control of all parks and playgrounds within the jurisdiction of the city, and shall be responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, planning and management thereof with the assistance and under the direct supervision of the Fulton Public Works Department.
