§ 50-33 INSTALLATION OF CUTOFF VALVES.
   (A)   Required. Any person building or materially altering any structure in the city which would necessitate the installation or construction of a water line from the city meter immediately adjacent to the structure or building shall, after this date, install a cutoff valve in the water line immediately adjacent to the meter pit.
   (B)   Purpose. It is the intention and purpose of this section of requiring the water cutoff valve to be installed in accordance with the provisions of this section in a manner that, should the water inside the structure or building be cut off for any reason, it will not be necessary to cut the water off in the meter pit.
   (C)   Penalty for violation. Any person found guilty of failing to comply with the provisions set out in this section shall be deemed guilty of a public violation for each day that the provisions of this section are not complied with and, upon conviction for the violation of this section, shall be fined for each separate violation the sum of not less than $10 or more than $50.
