§ 50-32 PRIVATE USE OF FIRE HYDRANTS.
   (A)   Anyone other than authorized personnel choosing to draw water from a fire hydrant must obtain a permit and the necessary metering equipment from the Public Works Department. A permit may be obtained by paying a refundable deposit as established by the Board of Commissioners from time to time. If there is damage to the hydrant or any city equipment, any portion or all of the deposit may be forfeited.
   (B)   The rate charged for water used in this way shall be as established by the Board of Commissioners from time to time.
   (C)   Anyone found drawing water from a hydrant without a permit and the use of city-provided metering equipment shall be subject to prosecution in District Court under the provisions of KRS 514.060.
