§ 28-32 CHIEF OF POLICE.
   There is hereby created and established in the Police Department an office or position designated as Chief of Police. The duties and responsibilities of the Office of Chief of Police shall be those as heretofore established and in effect in cities of the fourth class. The person appointed Chief of Police shall, during the term for which appointed, be removable for cause as provided by statutes applicable thereto.
