§ 22-1 CHIEF OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
   (A)   There is hereby established the Office of Chief of the Fire Department. The duties and responsibilities of the office shall be those heretofore established and in effect in cities of the fourth class.
   (B)   The term of office shall be for one year.
   (C)   Any person appointed to the office shall, during the term for which appointed, be removable for cause as provided by statutes applicable thereto.
