(A) The charge and/or price for a lot (one grave space) in the city-owned cemetery is established at $250. Twenty percent of the charge will be placed into an irrevocable trust fund, as required by state statue for the future care and maintenance of the lot. The remaining 80% will be deposited in the city’s General Fund.
(B) A refundable grave marker deposit in the city-owned cemeteries is hereby established at $75 per grave space, without any accrued interest. The deposit shall be made when a burial lot is purchased, and will be refunded when one of the following occurs:
(1) Prior to burial, when a grave marker is erected; or
(2) After a burial, when a grave marker is erected within six months of the burial.
(C) The City Commission, by ordinance, may periodically alter the foregoing fees to accommodate increased cost for maintaining the cemeteries.
