2.05.010   Bond required.
   A.   In accordance with Government Code Section 36518, the City Clerk and City Treasurer shall each execute a bond to the City prior to entering upon the duties of their offices.
   B.   In accordance with Government Code Section 36519, the City Council by resolution shall require the City Manager, Director of Finance and the Deputy City Treasurer to each execute a bond to the City prior to entering upon the duties of their offices.
   C.   All bonds required shall conform to the provisions of the Government Code relating to bonds of public officers. The penal sum of each bond shall be in a minimum reasonable amount recommended by the City Attorney and fixed by the City Council, by resolution, and may be changed during their term of office. The current minimum penal sum is set forth within the succeeding sections of this chapter. Any premiums for such bonds shall be a proper charge against the City.
