A. The purpose of this chapter is to regulate and control the subdivision of land by a vesting tentative parcel map as defined by the Subdivision Map Act, enacted by SB1660(Montoya), Chapter 1113 of the Statutes of 1984 and AB2143 (Bader), Chapter 995 of the Statutes of 1985.
B. To accomplish this purpose, the regulations outlined in this chapter are determined to be necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and general welfare, and for the promotion of orderly growth and development.
